Signs of Hormone Infertility

Hormone infertility is one of the major causes why a lot of couples fail to conceive. At an infertility clinic, the doctors are most likely to be specialists in either surgical treatment for infertility or for hormone and pharmaceutical treatments for infertility. Same with most causes of infertility, the causes related to an imbalance of hormones in the body are treatable and, through different types of medical intervention, may  be able to be overcome by a couple wanting pregnancy. The signs of hormone infertility are most of the time present long before the couple notices any problems in conceiving.

Women with hormone infertility problems will experience an irregular period. Some women may eventually skip a menstrual cycle. If a couple is under 35 years old and has been trying to conceive for over 6 months and has been to no success or, if a couple is over 35 years old and has been trying for over a year to get pregnant without success and there is an irregularity in the female’s menstrual cycle, a visit to a fertility clinic is highly advised. There are a lot of different treatments available for such condition and all have the same goal – to increase the number of eggs and the quality of the uteral lining.

Women who have hormone infertility usually fail to produce a healthy egg during the menstrual cycle. The treatments for this condition oftentimes put much focus on increasing the number of follicles and thus, the number of eggs produced as a way of increasing the chances of fertilization. Once these eggs are produced and fertilized, they will need a healthy uterus to implant. Hormone-related infertility problems usually affect this part of the woman’s reproductive system as well. The different treatments available for this condition, most of the time, focus on increasing the chances that an egg will be able to be implanted successfully.

The uterine lining in women is where the egg will attach itself once it is fertilized. Infertility cases related to hormonal imbalance oftentimes causes the woman’s uteral lining to be too thing to effectively play host to an egg, leading in a failure to successfully produce an embryo. The different treatments used to interfere in these situations involve the thickening of the lining wall which creates a better chance of the egg to successfully attach itself. Such treatments may also include the effect of making a woman’s cycle more regular which may have additional benefits for the couple and the woman’s overall reproductive health as well. Infertility due to hormone problems is one of the less obvious but very prevalent reasons that couple fail to conceive. Instead of being cured by surgical intervention, such infertility problem may take time and could entail long-term treatments.
