Infertility Options

Infertility in human beings is the inability of a woman to get pregnant or of a man to produce fertile sperms and father a child. This has become a very serious issue to a lot of couples who are planning to make a family of their own. On the other hand, when infertility is detected, you do not have to worry so much. With our innovative technology and with the help of the best doctors, your infertility problems can be solved.

There are a number of infertility options that you can turn to nowadays. To those women who are undergoing structural disorder of the reproductive system, for instance the fallopian tubes of the patient is blocked, this kind of condition can be treated by means of surgery. Doctors make use of antibiotics to treat diseases of the reproductive system. Infertility caused by incorrect functioning of the glands may possibly be cured by treating the hormones.

Scientists have as well generated a variety of infertility options that couples would make use of to be able to treat their infertility problems. A modus operandi which is known as embryo transfer enables a woman who cannot produce eggs to successfully get pregnant and give birth. In this course of action, a female donor is artificially inseminated with sperm from the male partner of the infertile couple. After a few days, the embryo is transferred from the donor’s uterus to the uterus of the female partner.

There is another infertility option which is called surrogacy wherein a female donor becomes heavy with child by means of artificial insemination in the company of the sperm from the male partner of the infertile couple. The donor, who is known as the surrogate mother, carries the baby inside her uterus and gives birth to the baby. The infertile couple then takes care of the baby.

For infertility problems that are not so severe, they can try acupuncture. Acupuncture can help relax the muscles and relieve you of stress. It is also said to cure a lot of diseases. Couples with this kind of condition could also treat their infertility problems by simply living a healthy life. There are a lot of factors that causes infertility such as smoking, drinking, over exercising, and wrong eating habits. If you try to live healthy then there will be a great possibly that your body will function normally.

Couples Dealing with Infertility Stress

The subject of childlessness and infertility stress is such a big deal, especially for those couples who are unfortunate enough to be at the receiving end of this condition. Most of the time these couples feel like they are the only ones who are going through this and that no one else understands them. And for the most part, this is because the people around them – most of whom have not experienced infertility and therefore do not know how it feels – are giving them unsolicited advice, telling them that it’s just a temporary thing and that they just need to relax. These are probably the worst things that can be said to infertile couples. These couples are not likely to welcome the idea that their infertility stress is just in their heads. More importantly, these couples are in all likelihood so sick and tired of people telling them stories about how they know someone who knows someone who went on a second honeymoon and conceived or had babies as soon as they stopped trying.

The truth is infertility is not just in our heads. It is a serious medical condition that needs to be addressed. There are numerous diagnostic tests that our health care providers can perform in order for them to be able to pinpoint the cause and the specific reproductive problem that we are having. However, there will be times that even these tests will not tell us what is wrong. We should not lose hope, though. There are other alternative methods that we can employ.

Alternative treatments such as behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, changes in diet and lifestyle and even fertility herbs infused into food and drink are becoming popular in dealing with sterility and infertility stress. Not only that; advancements in technology has made it possible to conceive a child through scientific methods.

In an ideal world, infertility is something that should never happen. Unfortunately, we do not live in such a world. We just need to buck up and deal with the problem. We should keep the faith that if it was meant to be, it will happen.

IVF Implantation

In vitro fertilization or what is also known as IVF involves the fertilization of a human egg cell in a laboratory and the implantation of the embryo or the fertilized egg inside the uterus or the womb of a woman for a regular pregnancy and birth.  Every now and then, an embryo which is a result of an in vitro fertilization will be frozen so as to be used for later IVF implantation.

In vitro fertilization is a procedure for women who usually have a difficulty getting pregnant.  This procedure helps them to conceive a child and have a normal term of pregnancy.  The procedure can also be used to prevent the transmission of hereditary diseases.  Fertilization will happen not in the test tube, but in small container which is called a perti dish.

Test tube baby is the popular name fir a baby resulting from in vitro fertilization.  There are a number of procedures that can be done in order to produce the test tube baby.  The first would be the collecting the eggs from the woman.  But before collecting them, the woman has to take special drugs that would stimulate ovulation.  When the eggs are ripe, the surgeon performs an operation to remove them.

The next phase of in vitro fertilization implantation involves the fertilization of the egg and its development in the laboratory.  After the egg has been removed, they are taken straight to the laboratory, where they are placed in a special fluid for six hours.  Then the man who is the partner of the woman or the male donor supplies the sperm specimen.  This must take place about four hours after the eggs have collected.  The sperm must be especially treated by washing and incubation.  They are then placed together with the eggs and left for about eighteen hours.  Following this procedure, the eggs are reexamined to see if fertilization has occurred.  They are then returned to culture for another twenty four hours.

Following the fertilization procedure, the grown fertilized egg will be transferred to the woman’s uterus.  To minimize the risk of multiple pregnancy, only a few eggs are returned to the woman.

Endometriosis Infertility

Endometriosis which comes from the word endo that means inside and the word metra that means womb is a disorder or a disease that affects the uterus of a woman.  The uterus is the place as to where the baby will be developed during the pregnancy period.  The uterus of a woman usually has a tissue that lines it; in endometriosis, these tissues develop in the areas of the external surface of the urine cavity.  These tissues would grow on the ovaries, at the back of the uterus or even on the bowels or bladder.  On odd occasions, it can also develop in the other parts of the body.

Those tissues which are misplaced in a manner of speaking will cause excruciating pain, infertility and incredibly heavy menstrual periods. A person with this kind of condition usually feels the pain in the abdomen area, the lower back or the pelvic areas.  One of the first symptoms of endometriosis is the inability to get pregnant or infertility; that is why it often goes by the name endometriosis infertility.

Even though the cause of endometriosis has not been found out yet, doctors recommend pain medicines or pain relievers and hormones to help people with this kind of disorder.  For women with endometriosis, there are also treatments to assist with their infertility problems.

Although a great number of women with endometriosis are still able to get pregnant naturally, surgery would still be an alternative for other women who are having complexities in conception.  Surgery will be able to assist in increasing the possibilities of getting pregnant.  If the procedure of the surgery does not work, they can also turn to other treatments such as intrauterine insemination or in-vitro fertilization.

Concurrently there is no specific cure for endometriosis, but in about a large number of patients, menopause whether it is natural or surgical, is capable of reducing the process.  For those women who only have endometriosis that is not so severe, there is a possibility that they would not require any treatment. Doctors do treat a number of patients with hormones and pain relievers, which may perhaps be capable of stopping the ailment.

Solving Childlessness with IUI Pregnancy

The prospect of having kids is something that couples will always be fond of.  It is said that kids are not just the fruits of a couple’s love for each other but they also benefit a lot out of that love.  Besides these symbolisms though, when couples marry starting a family is usually the next step in their relationship.  However, some may have problems in having children.  These can be because of two main reasons; one is infertility and the other is sexual dysfunctions due to psychological problems.  Of course, the usual first recourse is to seek the help of a medical practitioner.

Fortunately, thanks to the advance of medical science, a number of methods have been presented as options for couples who have difficulties in bearing children.  Most of these actually fall under the category of artificial insemination.  Of all the artificial insemination methods, however, the most commonly used and the most effective is called the intrauterine insemination or IUI.  A safe and sure approach, IUI pregnancy has provided many happy couples with kids, the top option of those who cannot make children in the natural way.

IUI is recommended for couples who have waited for a year or more for kids.  Before the female is treated with this, the couple must first subject themselves to an examination.  This is to find out who among them has an infertility issue.  In the examinations that they undergo, the male is tested if his sperm can function normally.  This involves finding out the sperm count, mobility, and sperm morphology.  On the other hand, the female is also tested to ensure that she has a normal ovulation cycle, open fallopian tubes, and a normal uterine cavity.

The process of having an IUI pregnancy is actually simple and quick.  What can take time are the examinations and the compliance of other requirements prior to it.  It is basically just the injection of sperm into the uterus. By directly injecting the sperm there, the chances of not being able to conceive with the female egg is greatly minimized.  This method may or may not be complemented with the use of fertility drugs.  Taking in these drugs may also raise the chances of conception.  However, the heightened fertility can also make multiple pregnancies possible.  It is suggested that a couple should first consult a doctor on the safety of taking in fertility drugs prior to an IUI treatment.
